Racers Fall to SIUE

The Murray State women's tennis team fell in their second conference match of the season as they were defeated 7-0 by SIUE at Purcell Courts on Saturday.
In the doubles matches, Jeanne Masson and Alina Schibole played a close match at the No. 3 doubles. Though the match was close, they could not pull out the win as they were defeated 7-5. Partners Erin Patton and Haily Morgan also fell in their match 6-3, giving the Cougars the early 1-0 lead.
The Racers couldn't find their stride in the singles matches. Amina Hadzic played at the No. 2 singles for the match. The freshman was unable to pull out a win as she fell 6-2, 6-3. Masson played in a close match at the No. 6 singles. she lost the first set 6-4 but rallied in the second set to win 7-5. She fell in the third set 10-7.
Murray State (7-7, 2-2) travels to UT Martin for their next match on Friday. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
