Racers On The Road For Back-to-Back Matches

The Murray State women's tennis team travels to UT Martin on Friday and Southeast Missouri on Saturday as they continue OVC play.
The Racers are coming off another weekend where they went 1-1 in dual play. MSU won close battle with Eastern Illinois as they won 4-3 but got swept by SIUE 7-0 the following day. At 2-2 in conference and 7-7 overall, the Racers are holding on to sixth place in the conference standings.Â
UT Martin is currently tied for second in the conference with a 6-10 overall record and a 3-1 record in OVC play. The Skyhawks are come into the match hot as they swept Southeast Missouri in their last match 7-0. UTM also defeated SIUE, a team that swept the Racers, but also lost to Eastern Illinois 4-1.
Southeast Missouri comes into the match with a 1-12 record and 0-4 in OVC play. The Redhawks lone victory came at Chicago State in the second match of the season as SEMO won 6-1. The Racers will be the second opponent the Redhawks have faced at home all season with the first being Austin Peay on Friday.
Match time on Friday at UT Martin and Saturday at SEMO is set for 2 p.m.
