Racers Set Personal Records on First Day at WKU

In the first day of the Western Kentucky Hilltopper Relays in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the Murray State women's track and field team had two athletes compete. Freshmen Emily Heil and Christina Meinhardt both set personal records in their events.
Heil set her personal record in the pole vault. She vaulted 3.42 meters (11' 2.25"). He vault places her third all-time in the event at Murray State. In the shot put, Meinhardt set her new personal record by throwing 12.83 meters (42'1"). Her throw moves her into eighth place all-time in program history.
Murray State continues competing at the Hilltopper Relays on Saturday. First field event is the discus which is set to begin at 9 a.m. Running events are set to begin at 12 p.m. with the 4 x 100 meter relay. Live results are available courtesy of Delta Timing.
