Murray State returns home to the CFSB Center after spending two games on the road last week at Lipscomb and Louisville. The Racers lost at the fourth-ranked Cardinals Friday afternoon in Louisville, 115-51. Abria Gulledge tied a season-high with 18 points on the loss and hit four 3-pointers in the game. Ke'Shunan James was the other Racer in double figures with 13 points.
James is just eight points away from passing Jennifer Parker (1990-94) for sixth on the all-time career scoring list in program history. James is currently at 1,673 points for her career. James is currently fifth in the nation in scoring this season averaging 24 points per game.
Bethel (Tenn.) has been one of the top NAIA programs in the country under Head Coach Chris Nelson. Monday will be an exhibition contest for the Wildcats, who have already played 10 games this season. Laurhen Pickett's 12.4 points and 8.8 rebounds per game lead Bethel. Pickett, along with Morgan Martin are the only two Wildcats to have started in all 10 games this season.
Shamon Pearson is second on the team in scoring average at 11.7 points per game. Bethel has played 16 players already this season and is shooting 38.5 percent from the floor and 29.8 percent from 3-point range. Last season, the Wildcats made it to the Sweet 16 of the NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship.
Monday's contest was originally scheduled to be played December 14 at "The Bank" but was moved up earlier this month.
