After a thrilling double overtime win in round one, the Murray State Racers (15-16) try to advance Thursday in the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
MSU won an 85-84 double overtime thriller Wednesday over the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles on the shot of the year. It was Jonathan Stark's 3-point basket with six seconds remaining that put the Racers over the top. The junior guard set the Murray State single-game scoring mark in the OVC Tournament of 41 points. It was also the second-best scoring game in the history of the event behind the 43 Bubba Well scored against Morehead State in 1997.
Terrell Miller, Jr., and Jalen Dupree each recorded a double-double in the win. Miller had 14 points and 12 rebounds, while the freshman Dupree made his first Racer start and finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Bryce Jones added 12 points.
Froggy 103 (WFGS 103.7 FM) airs every MSU game with "Voice of the Racers" Neal Bradley, in his 26th season calling the action. Former MSU assistant coach Kenny Roth provides commentary. Froggy103.com and GoRacers.com has free online streaming audio. Free online streaming video is available at OVCDigitalNetwork.com.
Extending the Racers' run of 29-straight consecutive winning seasons can still be done, but it will take winning the tournament, something the Racers have done a league-record 15 times with the last coming in 2012.
