Racers Match At Rollins Halted By Weather

The Murray State women's tennis team played a rain-shortened and unfinished match against the No. 27 ranked team in NCAA D-II, the Rollins Tars. The 4-3 unfinished match was played out at the Martin Tennis Complex in Winter Park, Florida.

After dropping the doubles points, the Racers came back and got match wins from Claire Chang (6-2, 7-6 (7-4)) and Amina Hadzic in a 7-5, 6-1 final. MSU saw Sara Bjork win her match in three sets and took the third set 6-0. Sara Loncarevic and Alina Schibol were leading in their second sets and possibly ready to force a third set when a lightning delay occurred and eventually caused the match to be called.

The Racers are home Friday to host the Jacksonville State Gamecocks at Bennie Purcell Courts at noon.
