First Pitch
The Racers make their last conference trip of the season this weekend when they travel to face Morehead State at Allen Field. Entering the weekend, MSU is currently in a three-way tie for fourth place in the OVC standings along with Jacksonville State and Southeast Missouri. The Racers own the tiebreaker over the Redhawks but not JSU.
Inside the Series
The last time the Racers made the trip to Morehead, Tyler Lawrence tied a school and OVC record with four home runs in MSU's series finale 27-7 victory. Lawrence also tallied 11 RBIs in the win, one off the OVC and MSU marks. The Racers are 32-27 all-time in Morehead and lost 2-of-3 back in 2015.

The Eagles have arguably the best offense in the entire league as they enter the weekend batting an OVC-leading .334 as a team with 69 homers. Morehead State is averaging nearly nine runs per game in 2017, which also leads the conference.
Niko Hulsizer has an OVC-best 21 home runs and 62 RBIs on the year and is also hitting 3.75. Meanwhile, Eli Boggess leads the Eagles with a .420 batting average. Will Schneider is second on the team behind Hulsizer in most offensive categories as he's scored 50 runs, hit 12 doubbles and nine home runs while also ranking second on the team with a .389 batting average.
Aaron Leasher leads Morehead with a 4.36 ERA, six victories, 12 starts, 74.1 innings pitched and 81 strikeouts in 2017. Meanwhile, Cable Wright has a team-best 21 appearances on the season and is the OVC's all-time leader in career appearances. Wright is also tied with David Calderon for a team-high four saves.
