All seven of Murray State's runs came via home run Saturday afternoon in Morehead, but it was not enough offense as the Racers fell in game two of their series against Morehead State, 19-7. It was the second time in as many games this series that MSU has hit five homers in the game.

Also for the second consecutive game, the Racers (24-26, 12-14 OVC) jumped out to an early lead as a Jack Hranec homer in the top of the first for the second straight day - put MSU up 1-0. After a run in both the third and fourth gave Morehead (32-18, 16-9 OVC) a 2-1 lead, the Eagles got another big inning in this series as they scored seven runs in the fifth to make it 9-1. Four of those runs were unearned as the Racer defense struggled all day, committing four errors in the loss.

Brandon Gutzler's first home run of the day in the sixth was the only scoring for the Racers until the ninth inning when they got three more long balls in the frame. Gutzler's second homer of the day and 15^th of the season made the score 19-5 to begin the scoring. Later in the inning, Kipp Moore hit a two-run shot to center field and Ryan Perkins' 11^th round-tripper of the season rounded-out the scoring for MSU in the loss.

Gutzler was the only Racer with multiple hits in the contest as he went 2-for-4 at the dish. Austin Dubsky got the start on the hill for MSU and took the loss as he pitched four-plus innings and allowed five earned runs off seven hits.

MSU will look to get back on tract and salvage a game in the series Sunday as the finale at the Eagles will begin at noon central time.
