Racers Honored As All-Academic Team By USTFCCCA

The Murray State Racers women's track & field program was honored with distinction as an All-Academic Team by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

"I am very proud of our women's team," said Racer head coach Jenny Swieton. "It's awesome to see them accomplish their goals in the classroom as well as on the track. They understand that they are STUDENT-athletes and that is very important here at Murray State."

The Racers had a grade point average of 3.29 for the 2016-17 academic year.

The USTFCCCA recognized a total of 218 NCAA D-I women's teams for the 2016-17 school year. The Racers were one of eight teams in the Ohio Valley Conference to be honored.
