"Tennessee Tech is a hard place to play, they make it hard for opponents" said head coach Jeremy Groves on the draw.
The Racers finished with 14 shots and five on target against Tennessee Tech. Harriet Withers had three shots on target, including a one-on-one opportunity she wasn't able to fully convert on early in the match.
Alex Steigerwald came prepared, as she made some timely saves to keep the Racers alive. One of the most important saves came at the 61st minute, where a free kick was headed towards goal, but picked out by Steigerwald.  She also picks up her third clean sheet of the year and the 14th of her career.
Jacksonville State is next up for the Racers, as they travel to Jacksonville, Ala. to finish out the week this Sunday at 1 P.M.
"We have a tough schedule, Jacksonville is coming off a weeks worth of rest. We have to travel back to Murray after a double overtime game and then get back on a bus Saturday. It's a tough stretch for us" said Groves.
