The Murray State Racers come home for the first time in nearly three weeks when they unveil a cutting-edge video scoreboard and play on national television when the Morehead State Eagles come to the CFSB Center in a 6 p.m. tip in Murray, Kentucky. The second-longest series in Murray State history, these two founding members of the Ohio Valley Conference clash for the 162nd time. The Racers enter the game with a share of second place in the OVC at 6-2 after a 76-57 victory at Tennessee State and the Eagles are coming off a 74-55 home win over Tennessee Tech and are 2-6. The Racers have won the last 10 against the Eagles at home since Morehead State's last win in 2003.
Froggy 103 (WFGS 103.7 FM) airs every MSU game with "Voice of the Racers" Neal Bradley calling the action in his 27th season. Former MSU assistant coach Kenny Roth provides commentary. Froggy103.com and GoRacers.com has free online streaming audio. After being featured on ESPNU last week at Belmont, the Racers come home to be on ESPNU in their first TV home game this season. The game is also offered on ESPN3.com.
A brand new scoreboard will give fans an amazing experience no matter where they're sitting in the arena. The new board replaces the original one that has been used since the CFSB Center opened in 1998. The Racers are playing their 20th season in the arena that is fondly referred to as "The Bank."
MSU is led by a pair of seniors that have produced at a high level since they arrived 52 games ago. Jonathan Stark and Terrell Miller, Jr., will make their 100th and 101st combined start and their 41st consecutive. Stark, the OVC Preseason MVP, enters the week leading the league in scoring at 19.8 points per game, as he did last season. Miller, a returning All-OVC pick as a junior, is one of four players that rank in the top-10 in the OVC in scoring and rebounding. Miller is fourth in the OVC with 8.0 rebounds per game and 10th with 14.9 points per game. Add in, OVC Freshman of the Year candidate Ja Morant, who already has a triple-double this season and the Racers are a formidable opponent.
The Racers stay home Saturday and welcome another of the OVC's founding institutions to the CFSB Center when the Eastern Kentucky Colonels visit.
