Racers Set For Suits & Sneakers Weekend

Head Coach Matt McMahon and his staff will participate this week in Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Week, which is a nationwide effort by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

When the Racers host Morehead State Thursday and Eastern Kentucky Saturday at the CFSB Center, the coaching staffs of each team will unite with their colleagues across the country to raise awareness about the American Cancer Society's lifesaving mission.

While coaching games during the week, coaches wear sneakers with their game attire as a visible reminder about the importance of nutrition and physical activity in reducing cancer risk.

"All of us has been affected by cancer in one way or another," Coach McMahon said. "So we're uniting as coaches to let everyone know that we won't stop until there is a cure for cancer. I am proud of the NABC for putting the fight against cancer at the forefront this week. And to think about the things we can do to reduce the risk."
