Racers Fall On The Road at Illinois
12/11/2018 10:34:00 PM | Women's Basketball
The Murray State women's basketball team dropped a non-conference affair to Illinois Tuesday, 84-52, at the State Farm Center in Champaign, Illinois.
The Racers just could not find their offensive stroke in the game, shooting 30-percent or below in each of the first three quarters. In the third quarter, the Racers did outscore the Illini, 18-16, but it was too little, too late, as they fell for third time in as many games on the road this season.
Evelyn Adebayo was 3-for-6 from 3-point range and 6-for-6 from the free throw line to lead the Racers with 23 points and 13 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season. Macey Turley followed with 13 points to go along with four assists.
The Racers will have a quick turnaround as they return home to the CFSB Center Thursday to take on Bethel (TN) at 6 p.m.
