Tevin Brown Named OVC Freshman Of The Week For 2nd Time

Murray State's Tevin Brown was honored as the Ohio Valley Conference Freshman of the Week pick in a vote by the league's sports information directors.
Brown, from Fairhope, Alabama, was great in the Racers' wins last week against Southern Illinois and Jackson State.
He averaged 18.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.5 steals, 1.5 assists and 1.0 blocks/game while hitting 54.2 percent (13-of-24) from the field and 50 percent (10-of-20) from 3-point range.
In the Racers' 80-52 win over Southern Illinois on the road, Brown scored a season-high 20 points on
6-of-11 3-point shooting. He added three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in 33 minutes
of action. He followed that with 16 points (4-of-9 3-point shooting), five rebounds, three steals and one
block in a 74-57 home win over Jackson State.
Brown leads the OVC in 3-pointers made/game (3.3) and is sixth in 3-point percentage (42.6%).
This is Brown's second weekly honor after he was picked in the first week of the season.
