With an eight-game overall and matching home winning streak, the Murray State Racers are set to play their final regular season home game Saturday when the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles visit the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky for a 7 p.m. tip. The day is Hall of Fame Day at the arena when the 2018 class of 10 people will be honored, including Racer Basketball greats Isaiah Canaan and Frank Allen. It is also Senior Day as the Racers honor current team members Terrell Miller, Jr., and Jonathan Stark.
Froggy 103 (WFGS 103.7 FM) airs every MSU game with "Voice of the Racers" Neal Bradley calling the action in his 27th season. Former MSU assistant coach Kenny Roth provides commentary. Froggy103.com and GoRacers.com has free online streaming audio. OVCDigitalNetwork.com has free online streaming video of all OVC games.
The Racers can clinch no worse than a No. 2 seed in the OVC Tournament if they win Saturday and they carry a lot of momentum into the game after beating Jacksonville State 68-60 at home Thursday. Jonathan Stark scored 32 points including a run of 10-straight points  starting at the eight-minute mark of the second half. Tech enters the game coming off an 86-80 win at Austin Peay where the Golden Eagles got 29 points from Curtis Phillips and led all but eight minutes of the game. The win snapped a three-game losing skid for TTU.
The first meeting between the Racers and TTU was on Jan. 13, a 71-45 win in Cookeville. The stat sheet showed a dominant night for Murray State. They held TTU to 40 percent from the field (21-of-52) and won the rebound stat 38-21. On offense, the Racers hit 58 percent (27-of-50) including (8-of-22) from the 3-point line. Tech was 1-of-16 from long range.
The Racers have won the last two in the series including an OVC Tournament game last March. In games at the CFSB Center, the Racers have beaten TTU in eight of the last nine. Tech's win at the CFSB Center in 2016 was their last visit to the Racers home floor and it broke an eight-game win streak for MSU since Tech's last win in 2005.
