First Pitch
The Racers play their second game of their five-game week Wednesday as they travel to face perennial power Missouri State at 3 p.m., Wednesday. MSU is coming off a 10-0 win over Brescia Monday. The Bears have won four of their last five and hosted Southeast Missouri Tuesday afternoon in Springfield. Missouri State has made 10 NCAA Regional appearances.
Inside the Matchup
The two teams are meeting for the first time since 1991 and are also playing for the first time in Springfield. The Bears have won 3-of-4 in the all-time series, all played in Murray. MSU's lone win against the Bears came in a 7-1 victory back in 1977. Missouri State is 3-2 at home this season while the Racers are just 1-7 on the road.

Davis Sims currently leads the country this season with 13 doubles so far. The program record for most doubles in a season is 22 set by Tyler Lawrence in 2016.
Pitching Gem
Gray Dorsey and Caleb Hicks combined to pitch a one-hit shutout Monday in the 10-0 win over Brescia in seven innings. The Bearcats got their lone hit with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. Dorsey got the start, and picked up his first win with the Racers as he pitched a career-high six innings, and struck-out five batters, which is also a career-best.
Scouting Missouri State
Drew Millas leads the Bears with a .379 batting average and 20 RBIs this season while Jeremy Eierman leads MSU with 19 runs, 11 extra-base hits and eight stolen bases. Eierman is second on the squad with a .318 average and joins Millas as the only two Bears batting above .300. Ben Whetstone leds MSU with four home runs in 2018.
As a team, the Bears are averaging just over six runs scored per game, are hitting .247 overall and are 19-of-23 on stolen-base attempts.
