3/29/2018 11:21:00 AM | Men's Basketball
Murray State's Jonathan Stark has been named to the Lou Henson All-America Team for the 2017-18 season as announced by CollegeInsider.com
The Lou Henson Team is presented annually to the nation's top NCAA D-I mid-major players.
Stark had an amazing two-year run with the Racers which included leading the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring the last two seasons. He was this season's OVC Preseason MVP, OVC Player of the Year for the regular season and OVC Tournament MVP. He was also named Associated Press All-America Honorable Mention.
Stark is the first Racer to be named to the Henson Team since Isaiah Canaan in 2013. It should be noted that the Henson Team is synced with the Lute Olsen Team, meaning a player may only appear on one of the teams. The Olsen award is considered an All-America team from all of NCAA D-I and the Henson Team is for players from mid-major teams Murray State's Isaiah Canaan (2012) and Cameron Payne (2015) were each named to the Olsen Team and therefore were not on the Henson Team.
Here is the list of Ohio Valley Conference players that have been honored as part of the Henson Team.
