Track and Field Welcomes Conner Neu to Coaching Staff

Murray State head track and field coach Adam Kiesler has announced Conner Neu as the new Graduate Assistant Throwing Coach for the 2018-19 season.
"We are very excited to add Conner to our coaching staff. I believe the throws group will grow leaps and bounds under his guidance. It is not every day you can add someone to your staff with his talent and knowledge," said Kiesler. "He has a great relationship with the student-athletes already and fits in perfectly with the dynamic of the staff. We know Coach Neu is going to leave a lasting impression on this program."
Neu joins the Racers after spending the last two years as the throws coach at Youngstown State. His time with the Penguins was highly successful, as he coached his athletes to 20 Horizon League Championships, while also winning seven Horizon League Team Championships.
Prior to his time coaching, he was a three-time All-American at Youngstown State, including a first-team nod in the weight throw in 2016. Neu holds the school record in the weight throw (21.78m) and hammer throw (70.96m). He also competed at the 2016 Olympic Trials in the hammer throw.
A native of Oak Brook, Ohio, Neu graduated from Youngstown State in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Physical Education. He will be pursuing his master's in Human Development and Leadership.
