McAdam Claims OVC Track Athlete of the Week

After a strong performance at the Margaret Simmons Invitational, Hilary McAdam has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Track Athlete of the Week.
McAdam won both the events she competed in, claiming the top spot in the 800m before running as part of the winning 4x400 relay team.
Her time of 2:14.58 in the 800m is the top time in the OVC this season and is currently the 21st-best time in the entire NCAA East Region.
It is the first time in her three years at Murray State that McAdam has received recognition for athlete of the week. She is the third Racer to claim the award the season after Tamdra Lawrence and Ashlyn Oren swept the Track and Field athlete of the week honors during the last week of the indoor season.
McAdam and the rest of the Racers are back in action, Friday, when they will compete at the Island Meet in Gulf Shores, Alabama.
