Racer Golf Set For John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate

The Murray State women's golf squad plays in the Atlanta area Sunday through Tuesday at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate (March 31-April 2) at Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia.

The Racers are joined in the field of 16 teams by one fellow Ohio Valley Conference member, Jacksonville State. Appalachian State, Central Michigan, Eastern Washington, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, Jacksonville, McNeese State, Oral Roberts, Samford, South Florida, Towson, Louisiana-Monroe, Albany and Winthrop make up the rest of the field.

OVC scoring leader Linette Holmslykke (73.0) is part of a solid Murray State lineup that includes Anna Moore, who won the last event the Racers played in Florida at the Citrus Classic. Moore is 10^th in the OVC with a 76.6 scoring average. The rest of the MSU starting five includes Jane Watts, Raeysha Surendran and Sarah McDowell. Lucila Puente Rodriguez and Taylor Church are in the event as individuals.

The Racers have had success at Eagle's Landing. In 2018, they placed second with Holmslykke and Puente Rodriguez sharing fifth place. In 2017, the Racers shared the top spot with Eastern Kentucky and Moore finished sixth.

The schedule of play has tee times Sunday and Monday from the first and 10^th tees starting at 7:30 a.m. CT. Tuesday's final round is a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT.

The Eagle's Landing course plays to a par-72 and a length of 6,043 yards.
