Racers Move Up Three Spots In UNF Final

The Murray State women's golf team produced a splendid final round and moved up three spots to an eighth place finish at the UNF Intercollegiate at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida.

The Racers carded a team score of 302 and finished eighth with a 54-hole total of 897. The Racers (296-299-302=897) tied with Ohio Valley Conference rival Eastern Kentucky (296-288-313=897) and MSU was two shots ahead of Jacksonville State (295-299-305=899). Host North Florida took home the team title with total of score of 871.

Murray State's Linette Holmslykke led the way with a spot in 22st place on scores of 77-70-75=222, while Jane Watts rallied to finish 34^th on rounds of 75-78-73=226. Raeshya Surendran had scores of 75-79-73=227 and placed 37^th and Sarah McDowell placed 66^th after scores of 73-74-85=232.

Sam Houston's Hanna Alberto took the medalist honor on scores of 69-69-71=209, one shot better than North Florida's Teresa Conroy.
