Racers Hit Links At Red Tail In Florida

The Murray State women's golf squad heads for the Sunshine State to take on the Citrus Challenge (March 17-19) at the Red Tail Golf Club in Sorrento, Fla.

The Racers are joined in the field of nine teams with fellow Ohio Valley Conference members Morehead State (host) and Austin Peay. Sienna, Keiser, Lipscomb, Georgia State, Dartmouth and Cleveland State make up the rest of the field.

Racer head coach Velvet Milkman sends out a lineup that included OVC scoring leader, Linette Holmslykke. She's joined in the starting five by Jane Watts, Raeysha Surendran, Anna Moore and Sarah McDowell. Lucila Puente Rodriguez de Austria will compete as an individual.

The schedule of play has all teams starting at the first hole at 7:30 a.m. CT with the final round having a shot gun start at the same time.

In 2018, the Racers placed second and Holmlsykke scored a top-10 finish.

The Red Tail course plays to a par-72 and a length of 5,929 yards.
