Lawrence Named OVC Track Athlete of the Week

After a dominant weekend at Memphis, Tamdra Lawrence has been named the OVC Track Athlete of the Week.
Lawrence won both the 100m and 200m at the Memphis Invitational, the first time she has won both races in the same weekend since the 2016 OVC Championships. Her time of 11.36 in the 100m is a personal record and is currently the 26th fastest time in the nation and 16th fastest in the East Region.
The senior also helped both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams to second-place finishes in Memphis.
This is the second time in the outdoor season that Lawrence has taken home athlete of the week honors in addition to the one she claimed in indoor season. It is also the sixth time in her career she has earned the award.
Lawrence and the rest of her Racer teammates will be back in action May 9-11 when they compete at the 2019 OVC Championships in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
