The Murray State women's track & field program was honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as an All-Academic Team for their performance in the classroom for the 2018-19 school year.
In addition, Aubrey Main was also named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual after meeting the requirements of having at least a 3.25 GPA and in the top 96 of an event, in her case the indoor pentathlon, nationwide.
"We are extremely proud of the team and especially Aubrey for their Academic All-American accomplishments," said head coach Adam Kiesler. "The team worked extremely hard throughout the year to maintain a high GPA which also helped MSU Athletics as a whole stay over a 3.0 for 30 consecutive semesters. I am happy for Aubrey that this award could cap off such a great career on the track and now in the classroom. She has worked hard and deserves the recognition."
Main is just one of four OVC female athletes to be bestowed this honor this year and becomes the first Racer since Ashley Conway in 2015 to be recognized.
The Racers were part of a group of six teams from the Ohio Valley Conference to earn the honor and one of 227 among NCAA D-I women's teams.
