Racers Set for OVC Tournament Matchup with Tennessee Tech

Murray State Hosts Golden Eagles for a Halloween Quarterfinal Match
Murray State Women's Soccer will play host for an OVC Championship quarterfinal matchup with Tennessee Tech at 1 pm on Sunday (Oct. 31) at Cutchin Field in Murray, Kentucky. The match will be between the fourth-seeded Racers and the fifth-seeded Golden Eagles for a chance to move on in the OVC Tournament to play UT Martin in the semifinals.

Murray State and Tennessee Tech came to a 2-2 draw in the regular season matchup in Cookeville, Tennessee. The Racers lead the Golden Eagles in goals scored on the year with 30 for the Racers and 13 for the Golden Eagles. 13 players have netted a goal this season under Coach Matt Lodge.

Chloe Barnthouse leads goal scoring for the Racers for the second consecutive season with five goals on the year. Murray State has found very impressive form from its midfield this season from Lauren Payne (4 goals, 2 assists) and Hailey Cole (2 goals, 5 assists). Senior forward Rebecca Kubin has been steady on the front for Murray State with three goals and three assists on the year. Freshman Morgan Bodker rounds out the top scorers for Murray State on the year with two goals and five assists.
