Six Racers Hit Double-Figure Scoring For Sixth-Straight Victory

Murray State also has a six-game winning streak at the CFSB Center heading into a Saturday home game with Chattanooga
The Murray State Racers carried a strong start to 118-48 victory Wednesday over the Tennessee Wesleyan Bulldogs at the CFSB Center in Murray, Kentucky.
The Racers (9-1) have won six in a row overall and posted the second highest winning margin in CFSB Center history. The 70-point win matches the 106-36 win over Spalding (2018) and is behind only the 78-point a year ago (2020) against Greenville 173-95.
Six players reached double-figure scoring for the Racers including KJ Williams who had 19 points on 8-of-11 from the field, while Trae Hannibal added 18 on 7-of-8 shooting. DaQuan Smith added 15 points as well as four steals and the Racers got 12 points each from Nicholas McMullen and Jackson Sivills. McMullen made it his first career double-double at Murray State with 10 rebounds. Smith's four steals marked his MSU career-best.

Racers Set To Help Tornado Relief Through Kentucky Strong
Tonight's games began a week of relief efforts through the basketball games at the CFSB Center as Murray State Athletics seeks to honor all affected by the recent Tornado outbreak and the first responders. General admission tickets are free for Saturday's games that begin at 5 p.m. with the MSU women hosting Lipscomb. Fans are asked to bring non-perishable food items and clothing items to the CFSB Center when they enter. A Teddy Bear toss will take place at halftime of the men's game. Fans are asked to bring stuffed animals to the game and after throwing them on the court, they will be given to children in need after the recent disaster. Kentucky Governor Beshear has encouraged contributions in support of the victims and relief efforts. The "Team Western Kentucky Tornado Relief Fund" has been set up. The Racers are also partnering with Eight Days of Hope and Journey Church to assist those that were affected by the severe weather.
Harlem Globetrotters Coming To CFSB Center – Feb. 2
The worldwide sensation Harlem Globetrotters have announced they will return to Murray State University for an eighth time on February 2, 2022 beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Guests may also visit the CFSB Center ticket office, located at 1401 State Route 121 North, Murray, Ky 42071 (Lower A Entrance). Racers Selected For Two Home Games On ESPNU
The Murray State men's basketball is hosting a pair of televised home games on ESPNU as announced by the Ohio Valley Conference for the 2021-22 season. The Racers will appear on ESPNU (Feb. 17) when they host the Austin Peay Governors at the CFSB Center in a 6 p.m. tip. The second game happens at home (Feb. 24) against the Belmont Bruins in a tip off of 8 p.m. Both of the TV games for the Racers come on Thursday nights. The OVC schedule has a total of nine total men's basketball televised games (six regular season contests and three OVC Tournament games) to be aired by one of the ESPN networks during the 2021-22 season. This includes three nights of coverage at the OVC Tournament (March 4-5) at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.

- The Racers put six players in double-figures for the first time since Feb. 11, 2017 when they did it against Austin Peay. Here is how the scoring In that game came out. Terrell Miller (22), Damarcus Croaker, Gee McGhee & Jalen Dupree (14), Jonathan Stark (13) and Gilbert Thomas (12).
- MSU has won six-straight games since their only loss of the season (Nov. 22) at the Naples Invitational to ETSU 66-58.
- MSU's top winning streak is also the Ohio Valley Conference record. During the 2014-15 season, the Racers won 25 in a row for Coach Steve Prohm.
- MSU has won six-straight games at the CFSB Center (5-0 this season). MSU's last loss at The Bank was to Eastern Illinois (Feb. 18).
- MSU has won 21-straight non-conference games at the CFSB Center since their last loss (Dec. 19, 2017) to Auburn 81-77.
- The Racers are now 6-1 vs TWU all-time. The Bulldog's lone win happened in 1978 at old Racer Arena.
- Tevin Brown continued his chase of the MSU and OVC all-time 3-point record with a 2-of-8 night (he has 281). The all-time record at Murray State was set up Isaiah Canaan (2009-13) at 304 and Joe Sibbitt of Austin Peay (1994-98) owns the OVC mark at 319.
- MSU hosts Chattanooga Saturday in a 7 p.m. tip time.
- The Racers are 6-2 all-time against the Mocs, including winning the last time they met. MSU won at Chattanooga 72-65 in 2010. They also beat the Mocs at the CFSB Center in 2009 by a score of 73-62.
- The Mocs are 9-2 after a 76-68 loss Wednesday at Belmont.
- The Racers began week No. 44 in the NCAA Net Rankings and Chattanooga was No. 31.
- The Mocs were No. 8 this week in the College Insider Mid-Major Poll and the Racers were No. 10.
- After the game against the Mocs, the Racers play their final game before OVC play at Auburn (Dec. 22).
