A Win Would...
A win Monday would improve Murray State's record on the first day of the work week to 3-0 this season.
A Perfect Week
Katelyn Young was 12-for-12 at the line Thursday and 5-for-5 Saturday to finish the week a perfect 17-for-17 at the charity stripe.
Chasing The Record
Katelyn Young is currently shooting 61.7-percent from the field on the season which is currently the seventh best percentage in Division I. If she manages to keep her percentage over 59.4-percent, she will break the previous record for best single-season field goal percentage set by Stephanie Minor in the 1995-96 season.
From Downtown
Murray State was on fire from beyond the arc Saturday, going 8-for-13 from 3-point range for a season-high of 61.5-percent, the fourth-best single-game percentage in school history. Lex Mayes led the 3-point barrage by Murray State Saturday by going 5-for-6 from beyond the arc to finish with a game-high 17 points.
Free Throw Perfection (Team Version)
For just the eighth time in the history of Murray State women's basketball, the Racers were perfect at the free throw line on 10 or more attempts. MSU went 11-for-11 from the charity stripe Saturday, for the fourth-best single-game performance in MSU history.
