Racers Prep for Final Home Match of Season

Murray State soccer prepares to host Valparaiso on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the final home match of the season at Cutchin Field. The Racers are undefeated in five of their last six games and have boosted themselves to the top of the Missouri Valley Conference in goals and assists.

Saraya Young has turned into one of the biggest offensive threats in the Valley as she leads the league in points (11) and assists (7). Lauren Payne and Sydney Etter lead the team in goals with four on the year.

Audrey Henry leads the team in minutes played this season with 1350 logged on the campaign.

In the Racers last home game, MSU put seven goals in the net for their most goals in a match in 13 years.

Scouting Report

Valpo comes into the matchup at second place in the league standings at 5-1-1 in MVC play (6-6-3 overall).

Addy Joiner leads the Beacons and the MVC with five goals on the season. Two-time reigning MVC goalkeeper of the week Nikki Coryell leads Valpo in goal with 47 saves and over 1200 minutes.
