Racers Picked Third in MVC Indoor Preseason Poll

Murray State track and field picked third in MVC preseason poll

Murray State track and field has been picked to finish third in their first season in the Missouri Valley Conference as voted on by the coaches around the league on Tuesday.

Following a sweep of the indoor and outdoor Ohio Valley Conference championships, the Racers received 104 points, sharing the third spot with Southern Illinois. MSU returns long jump and 60m dash OVC champion Rachel Hagans and pentathlon OVC champion, Jenna Pauly.

The Racers also return Amirr Evans, who set a new 1,000m record at Illinois State this past weekend.

MSU will return in the New Year at the Commodore Indoor at Vanderbilt, Jan. 13-14.
