Baseball Hosts North Alabama in Midweek Matchup

Murray State (10-4) baseball is set to host North Alabama on Wednesday afternoon at 3 pm at Johnny Reagan Field in Murray, Kentucky. The Racers have started 10-4 with all four losses coming at the hands of SEC opponents while staying undefeated at home thus far. MSU most recently swept Illinois State in a weather shortened two-game series.

The Murray State offense is led by graduate second baseman Jordan Holly who is batting .333 on the year. Shortstop Drew Vogel leads the team in doubles (6) while outfielder Seth Gardner leads the Racers in RBIs (17). In the bullpen, MSU has six arms that sport a 2.70 ERA or lower.

North Alabama enters the contest at 5-9 after dropping a tight game with Little Rock 3-2 on Sunday (March 13). The Lions recently defeated Alabama by a score of 9-5 on March 9.

The Lions are led offensively by Luke Harper a .378 batting average to go along with six doubles. Bryse Ingle is the projected starting pitcher for UNA, Ingle has 5.0 innings pitched on the year with a solid 3.60 ERA and eight strikeouts.
