Women’s Cross Country Goes Back on the Road for Golden Eagle Invite

Murray State will race final 5K of the season at Tennessee Tech

Racers women's cross country will run their second 5,000m race at Golden Eagle Invite in Cookeville, Tennesse, Friday.

The meet will feature Tennessee Tech as hosts, Carson Newman, UT Martin and Tennessee State.

Ruth Kimutai, Ainsley Smith, Jocelyn Host, Samantha Tucci, Amirr Evans, Allison Wood and Breanna Day will represent the blue and gold in the race.

Kimutai placed 15^th in last year's Golden Eagle Invite with a time of 19 minutes 49.8 seconds. Evans, Day and Smith are also no strangers to the course as they raced with the Racers team that placed third overall, last year.

This will the Racers' final 5,000m race before transitioning to the championship, 6,000m, distance races for the rest of the season.
