Purple Aces push past MSU in final minutes Friday

The Murray State women's basketball team was outscored by Evansville, 8-1, in the final three minutes of Friday's game , leading to 75-67 loss for the Racers at the Meeks Family Fieldhouse in Evansville, Indiana.

With the game tied at 51 after three quarters of play, the Purple Aces outscored the Racers, 24-16, int eh fourth quarter and outshot them as well, 46.7-percent to 31.6-percent.
Despite the loss, the Racers outrebounded Evansville by nine Friday, 41-32, with Katelyn Young leading her team with a game-high 10 boards.
Young notched her seventh double-double of the season Friday, scoring 18 points to go along with her 10 rebounds.
Both teams were near perfect at the free throw line Friday with Evansville going 15-for-17, while the Racers were one better at 15-for-16.
Hannah McKay scored a career-high 22 points in the game to lead the Racers, while Jordyn Hughes came off the bench to add 13.
