Murray State volleyball will travel to UIC and Valparaiso this weekend.

Murray State volleyball will travel to UIC and Valparaiso for their 21st and 22nd matches of the season, Friday and Saturday.
This will be the Racers' third visit to UIC and fifth visit to Valpo. All three teams are knotted in the middle of the Missouri Valley Conference, with the Beacons at fourth, the Racers at fifth and UIC at sixth. Â
Notes
- Murray State enters the weekend with a 6-5 conference record that puts them at fifth in the standings—coming off a 0-2 weekend with losses to UNI and Drake.
- MSU and UIC are two of only three teams that have won a set against UNI.
- Darci Metzger posted a career-high 26 kills with a 0.313 hitting percentage against UNI.
- Greek Under-20 national team member Haidi Miliou has posted a career-high six blocks against UNI.
- The Racers are third in the league in hitting percentage (.239), kills (13.89), assists (12.85) and digs (16.85).
- This will be the Racers' seventh meeting with both UIC and Valparaiso. UIC leads the series 4-2, while Valparaiso leads 6-1.
- Earlier this season, Dahlia Miller posted 50 digs in a match to set a new school and MVC record.

Scouting UIC
The Flames have a 5-6 conference record and are sixth in the standings.
UIC's offense is led by senior outside hitter Martina Delucchi, who has racked up 295 kills this season. Acting as a tandem for Delucchi is sophomore outside hitter Ayat Amin, who has posted 242 kills.
Sophomore Francesca Venturini is UIC's primary setter, with 627 assists this season. Sofia Wafeek is the Flames' alternate setter with 417 assists.
Leading the back row for the Flames is libero Jaclyn Oblena, with 298 digs.
Scouting Valparaiso
The Beacons have a 7-4 conference record and are fourth in the MVC standings.
Mallory Januski and Elise Swistek provide the main offensive outlets for the Beacons, with both racking up 203 kills this season. Like the hitters, Valpo also has two control towers in Victoria Bulmahn (444 assists) and Addy Kois (427 assists).
In defense, the Beacons are led by libero Emma Hickey, who has 439 digs throughout the season.
