Stewart and Learn Make Sparkling Debuts, as Racers Came Up Short against Arkansas

Racers just short on completing their comeback against Arkansas.
In A Nutshell
Murray State women's basketball was just short on completing their comeback, as they fell to Arkansas 79-82, Friday.
The Racers brought the fight from the beginning, holding a one-point lead coming off the first quarter. Arkansas outscored the Murray State 31 to 14 in the second quarter.
Despite the MSU outscoring the Hogs 24-21 in the third and 24-14 in the fourth quarter, the Racers could not close the gap to clinch the game.
Sparkling Debuts
Zoe Stewart led the Racers with 19 points from the floor on her Racers debut. She shot 7-19 from the floor while making four rebounds and three assists.Â
Ava Learn shows she can dominate the paint in her debut. The New York native posted 15 points while making nine rebounds (six defensive and three offensive). She shot 7-15 from the floor.Â
From the Floor
The Racers shot 38% from the floor with 34.4% from three. They have fewer turnovers, with 16 to the Hogs' 18.Â
What's Next?
Murray State will return home to CFSB Center to host Cumberland (Tenn.) for Education Day Game, Tuesday.
