Racers Host Cumberland on Education Day

The Murray State women's basketball will play their first official home game of the season when they host Cumberland Tennessee, Tuesday.

This will be the Racers fourth meeting with the Phoenix. The Racers lead the series 3-0 with all their meetings at Murray.

MSU is coming off a thriller at Fayetteville, where they lost to Arkansas by one possession (79-82).

The Phoenix has a 2-3 record and are coming off a 13-16 2022-23 season.
They feature seven returners among their 14-man roster.
Senior Lindsey Freeman currently leads the Phoenix in points and rebounds with 13.8 and 8.0 per game,

respectively.
Like the Racers, the Phoenix are coming off a narrow one-possession loss. They fell to the University of
Providence 58-61 on Saturday night.
Also similar to the Racers, Cumberland's 2022-23 season ended in a one-possession second round loss
of postseason tournament. They lost 59-60 to Campbellsville University.

What a Racer Win Means?

This will be the Racers' first win of the season.
A win would give the Racers momentum going into the weekend where they will be guests to Indiana,

Friday.
Will be Rechelle Turner's 92nd career win.
