Game Notes
- With two teams that like to get up and down the floor, the first stoppage in play at the start of the game wasn't until the first foul was called at 14:12.
- Losing a game when leading at the 5:00 mark has been very rare for the Racers as they are now 53-7 since 2020.
- This overtime game marked the Racers' first since beating Valparaiso at home 77-76 (02-26-23).
- This game was MSU's first overtime affair at a regular season tournament since beating Southern Mississippi in double-overtime 90-81 to win the Great Alaska Shootout championship in Anchorage (11-26-11).
- Since 1976, the Racers are 33-35 in overtime and 5-6 at Neutral sites.
- JaCobi Wood tied his career-high with 24 points today. He also scored 24 against Chicago State (12-13-22) and UMass (11-18-22).
- Wood also set his personal mark with six 3-point baskets, the same as against Lipscomb (12-02-21).
- The Racers meet Appalachian State for the first time in program history on Wednesday at 11 a.m. CT.
