Learn Leads the Racers in Conference-Opener Win

Murray State women’s basketball grab their conference-opener win as Ava Learn post 15 points.

The Murray State women's basketball team claims Missouri Valley Conference opener with a 90-62 win over Valparaiso, Saturday. Ava Learn leads the Racers in points with 15.

The Racers came back from Christmas break in full throttle by scoring 29 points in the first quarter. To continue their high-scoring trend, they topped their first quarter performance with 32 points in the third quarter.
With the win, the Racers remaind the winningest team in the league with a 8-2 record.

The Racers have posted their sixth over 90-point game of the season with today's win. They are now averaging 93.8 points per game.

Ava Learn led the Racers in points with 15 points. She also made four rebounds to go with the points.

Five Racers posted double-digit points with Learn (15 points), Katelyn Young (12 points), Briley Pena (12 points), Haven Ford (12 points) and Zoe Stewart.
