Quick Start Fades For Racers At Bradley

The Racers played at Carver Arena for the first time since 1994
The Murray State Racers dropped an 83-48 loss against the Bradley Braves at Carver Arena in Peoria, Illinois.
The Racers (13-13) fell to 8-8 in the Missouri Valley Conference. MSU stays on the road Wednesday when they travel to Normal to face the Illinois State Redbirds.
DJ Burns scored 13 points and JaCobi Wood added 10 points..
In the first half, the Racers broke from the gate by hitting 7-of-9 from the field to lead 16-10 at 10:23 on Justin Morgan's 3-pointer. The Braves' 7-2 run at the 3:26 mark tied the game for the first time 21-21. Bradley took its first lead moments later and pushed it to 31-21 at halftime. The Racers hit 57 percent from the field on 9-of-17, including three 3-point baskets in the first half.
The Racers were down 53-36 with 12:09 left and were never able to mount a rally.
