Fletcher Named MVC Field Athlete of the Week

Meghan Fletcher named MVC Field Athlete of the Week after a record-breaking weekend at home.

Murray State softball's Meghan Fletcher was named Missouri Valley Conference field athlete of the week, as announced by the conference, today.

Fletcher won the high jump with a 1.79m mark, breaking the school's 42-year-old record set by Allison Manley in 1981.

In the high jump, Fletcher is ranked first in the MVC, ninth in the East Region and 22nd nationally.

The Racers will travel to Eastern Kentucky for the Rick Erdmann Twilight, Friday through Saturday.
