Amundson Reach 300 Career Wins as Racers Even Score at Indiana State

Murray State softball take game two 3-0 at Indiana State.
In a Nutshell
Murray State softball capitalized on early offense to seal the game and even the series at Indiana State, Saturday. Erin Lackey got on base on the first at-bat of the game. Gracie Osbron got hit by a pitch to advance Lackey to second before Taylor Jackson hit a crucial two-RBI double to put the Racers up two runs in the first inning.
The Racers and Sycamores kept each other silent until the fifth inning before Osbron hit an RBI to right field to score Shelby Durbin home. MSU's defense kept Indiana State quiet through the final stretch to even the series.
Hannah James started in the circle and took the win to move up to 13-5 in the season.
Today's win marked head coach Kara Amundson's 300th career win. This year is Coach Amundson's 11th season leading the Racers. Last year, she won the program's first conference title in their historic run.
