Four Racers Head to NCAA East Preliminaries

Rachel Hagans, Meghan Fletcher, Kayla Bell and Faith Bostick qualified for the NCAA East Preliminaries.

Murray State track and field will send four athletes to compete at the NCAA East Preliminaries, May 24 through 27. Rachel Hagans, Meghan Fletcher, Kayla Bell and Faith Bostick are set to compete in one event each at the University of North Florida.

Hagans qualified in the long jump, where she will compete as the 10th seed with a mark of 6.45m that she posted at Kentucky in April.

Fletcher will compete in the long jump. Her school record mark of 1.79m in the dual meet against Austin Peay will put her as the 14th seed.

Bell earned her qualifying spot in the 800m run at Ole Miss when she broke the school's 28-year-old record at 2:05.32. Her time will put her as the 31st seed in the prelims.

Bostick booked her qualifying spot in the 100m dash at Eastern Kentucky when she clocked 11.43 seconds. She will compete as the 42nd seed.

This is the most number of Racers qualified for an NCAA Regionals since 2004 and the most in Head Coach Adam Kiesler's era.
