MSU Looks Ahead To Home Opener Vs. Grambling

The Murray State women's soccer team dropped its final exhibition match to Southern Indiana, 2-0, on Saturday in Evansville, Indiana.

The Racers held the Screaming Eagles to a draw through the first 45 minutes, but USI's Abby Rhoutsong scored the first goal of the game in the 72nd minute. Just five minutes later, the Eagles doubled their lead on a goal from Lydia Bordfeld.

Sydney Etter put all three of her shots in frame along with Sami Wilson putting her lone shot on target. Audrey Henry, Morgan Bodker and Jenna Villacres all spent the full 90 minutes on the pitch.

The Racers will open the regular season at Cutchin Field against Grambling on Friday, August 18 at 5 p.m.
