Racers Fall Short To Redhawks

Murray State soccer drops final non-conference match, looks to open MVC play on Sep. 17.
The Murray State women's soccer team dropped Sunday's match to SEMO, 2-0, at Cutchin Field.
After a scoreless first half, the Redhawks took the lead in the 47th minute by Cayla Koerner's goal assisted by Faith Liljegren. Koerner would pick up an assist of her own on a cross pass to Emily Baker in the 61st minute.
Mary Hardy put three of her four shots on frame in her 69 minutes on the pitch, and Hailey Cole put one of her three shots on target. As a team, the Racers put 50-percent of their shots on goal during the
match.
Griselda Revolorio matched the Redhawks' goalie with six saves on-goal.
Murray State returns to Cutchin Field on Sunday, September 17 to open Missouri Valley Conference play against Missouri State at 1 p.m. for a 2022 conference championship rematch.
