Murray State volleyball sweeps the Purple Aces to open conference play.
In A Nutshell
Murray State volleyball takes down Evansville in three straight sets to open Missouri Valley Conference play, Friday. They dominated the first two sets, winning the first set 25-18 and the second set 25-21.
The Racers showed resilience in the third set. After trailing for as much as five points in the final stretch, the Racers pulled back and won the set 31-29.
This sweep is the Racers' fourth of the season, improving their record to 7-3.

- Darci Metzger led the Racers in kills and digs with 17 and 11, respectively.
- Bailey DeMier made 32 assists while nabbing six kills for her own.
- Lily Burnett made her debut as a Racer and posted two block solos, two block assists and four kills.
