Murray State volleyball fell 2-3 at Belmont in midweek MVC matchup.

Murray State volleyball falls 2-3 in midweek Missouri Valley Conference matchup at Belmont, Tuesday.

The Racers gave up the first set 15-25 before winning the second set 26-24 with a massive comeback after trailing as much as eight points. MSU then added to their lead by winning the third set 25-19 but could not seal it after losing the fourth set 17-25.

Murray State and Belmont went on a back-and-forth battle in the fifth set before the Bruins found a break and won it 15-12.

The Racers are now 2-1 in conference play, sitting fourth in the MVC standings.

Darci Metzger led the Racers in kills and digs with 16 kills.
Duru Ozkan debuted as a Racer, coming in as a substitute in the final stretch of the second. Posting a service to force the deuce and help win the set.
Ella Vogel made one block solo and three block assists.
