Racers Fall To UIC In Chicago

Murray State drops its first conference match of the season, ending its three-match unbeaten streak.
The Murray State women's soccer team dropped Thursday night's match, 1-0, to the UIC Flames in Chicago.
UIC's Makenna Meloy scored the game-winner for the Flames in the 20th minute on a corner service from Sophia Jaime. Despite being outshot in the first half, the Racers matched UIC in shots by the end of the match with eight.
Morgan Parker put one of her two shots in frame in 63 minutes off the bench. Kate Stordy and Hannah Carter each put their lone shot on goal.
All but three Murray State starters played the full 90 minutes.
The Racers conclude their two-match road span on Sunday, October 1 when they take on Valpo in Valparaiso, Indiana at 1 p.m. CT.
