The Murray State Women's Basketball Team returns to the CFSB Center for their eighth Missouri Valley Conference game against Southern Illinois, Friday.

The Racers are coming off a high-scoring 98-107 loss to Drake, Sunday. They are 0-2 on their trip to Iowa with a prior loss to UNI (75-95).

This will be the 46th meeting between the Racers and the Salukis. SIU is leading the series 38-7 and are 18-4 at the CFSB Center.

The Racers are still undefeated at home with 7-0 record at CFSB.

Notes

MSU enters the game with the second-highest scoring offense in the nation with 91.6 points per game. They have ten 90-plus point games this season.
The Racers lead the nation in bench points with 40.7 points per game.
Katelyn Young is included in the 2024 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch List by Her Hoop Stats.
Young averaged 20 points and eight rebounds per game on the weekend in Iowa.
She shot 50 percent from the floor while also providing 5.5 assists per game last weekend.
Young posted her sixth double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 rebounds at Northern Iowa.
Freshman Haven Ford let her presence be known by averaging 12.5 points per game while shooting .500 from the floor and .455 from beyong the three-point line in Iowa.
Rechelle Turner enters her seventh season after guiding the Racers through their inaugural MVC season.

Scouting Southern Illinois

Southern Illinois goes back into the win column after a three-game losing streak with a win over Evansville (99-60), Sunday.
They are currently eighth in the MVC standings with a 2-10 overall record (2-5 in conference).
The Salukis are led by Laniah Randle with 17.9 points and 8.8 rebounds per game.
Quierra Love is their control tower with 70 assists through the season.

The Races will hop back in the winning column with their sixth conference win of the season.
Head Coach Rechelle Turner will take her 104th career win and will be one win away from tying Rob Cross with the most wins in Racers history (105).
