Racers Host Sycamores To Kick Off Final Home Weekend

Murray State seeks its second win in the last three matches against Indiana State.

The Racers are set to kick off their final home weekend of the regular season with the Indiana State Sycamores on Thursday, October 17 at 3 p.m. CT at Cutchin Field. It will be the 10th all-time matchup between the two programs.
The Sycamores enter leading the series 4-3-2 since the inaugural matchup in 2000. Prior to a draw and a Murray State win in the previous two matches, Indiana State were victorious in four-straight over a seven-year span.
Indiana State are 7-5-4 with a 2-3-2 Missouri Valley Conference record under head coach Paul Lawrence. Lawrence is in his second year at the helm of the Sycamores program and his 10th season as a head coach. Since his arrival to Terre Haute, Lawrence is 9-11-14 with a career record of 80-63-30.
Mackenzie Kent and Alex Lehnert lead the goal scoring for Indiana State, netting a combined nine of the team's 27 goals thus far. Both players are also tied for the team lead in points and are top two in total shots.
Murray State are looking to bounce back after falling to Missouri State on the road. Mary Hardy scored her team-leading fifth goal of the season and moved herself into a tie for the third-most goals in The Valley. Breece Bass is top five in the conference in shots (36) and shots on goal (18).
