Racers Kick Off Two-Match Home Week With Belmont

Thursday's match marks the 17th time the two clubs meet since 2000, the inaugural season of Murray State soccer. The Racers started the all-time series with a 1-5 record through the first six matches, but are unbeaten in seven of the last 10 matchups, including a five-match winning streak from 2015-2019.
The Bruins lead the series with an 8-7-1 record, yet the Racers are 6-5-1 over Belmont as conference opponents. The last time the two programs met was in the 2023 season, resulting in a scoreless draw.
Belmont holds a 5-6-1 record and are 2-1 in conference play this season under head coach Kelsey Cameron. Cameron, who is in her second season at the helm of Belmont's women's soccer program, is 58-52-27 all-time as a head coach.
She amassed 50 wins in the first six years of her head coaching career during her tenure at Trevecca Nazarene.
The Bruins are led by Ava Lobocki, who has netted a third of Belmont's goals with four this season. Reagan Ross and Kennedy Wise also have scored two goals apiece. Kennedy Bernsen is the only player for Belmont to have recorded multiple assists this year, followed by seven other Bruins to have tallied an assist.
Breece Bass sits among the top players in the Missouri Valley Conference, tied for the most shots (31) and has put the second-most shots on target with 16. Mary Hardy currently sits in a nine-way tie for the most game-winners with two thus far this year. Kate Stordy and Hailey Cole are also tied for the second-most assists in the MVC with three each.
