Racers Set To Close Out Regular Season At Drake

Murray State are set to close out the 2024 regular season with a road match in Des Moines, Iowa, taking on the Drake Bulldogs on Sunday, October 27 at Mediacom Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. CT.
Drake enters Sunday's contest with a 7-6-5 record and are 6-2-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play, sitting third in the MVC standings. The Bulldogs women's soccer program is led by head coach Lindsey Horner, who is in her 17th season at the helm in Des Moines.
Horner holds a career record of 139-127-51 since her arrival to Drake ahead of the 2008 season with four 10-win seasons and three regular season conference titles.
Drake are led by Eve Blakey, who has scored six goals for the Bulldogs this year. She's followed by Layla Kelbel and Angela Gutierrez, who each have four goals. Zoey Mahoney leads the team and is second in the MVC with six assists, three of which have come in each of Drake's last three matches.
Mary Hardy's sixth goal of the season at Northern Iowa moved her into a tie for the second-most goals in the conference, along with Blakey included in the seven-way tie. Breece Bass remains one of the conference's more aggressive forwards, sitting second in The Valley in shots and fifth in shots on target.
